Kutz Fabricating has two precision abrasive water jets, giving us the ability to machine a wide range of thicknesses and materials, including metals, plastics, glass and ceramics. Excellent for short runs, prototype parts or high volume.

The advantages of water jet cutting is the elimination of material distortion or degradation that occurs with laser or die cutting giving a smooth, satin-like finish, similar to a fine sandblasted finish. There are no heat affected areas or structural changes in materials. Abrasive jets can also machine hardened metals and materials with low melting points. Sawing, gear cutting, punching, slitting, spline cutting are just a few of the wide range of conventional processes that can be performed, with tolerances of +/- .005.

Water jet cutting can be done from CAD drawings, DXF files or customer drawings or sketches.
